Who runs mangrovejobs.com?

mangrovejobs.com is operated by MangroveJobs of Innisfail, Queensland, Australia (email careers@mangrovejobs.com). By using mangrovejobs.com or applying through it, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What do the words mean?

"MangroveJobs", "we" and "us" mean the operator. "You" means anyone using the website. "Website" means mangrovejobs.com. An "employer" is a business offering a role, and a "listing" is the description of that role on mangrovejobs.com.

Is MangroveJobs my employer?

MangroveJobs is a recruitment advertising and introduction service, not an employer. The employer controls hiring, contracts, supervision, how work is organised and pay. An application to MangroveJobs is not a job offer and does not make you an employee of MangroveJobs.

How accurate are the listings?

Each listing on mangrovejobs.com describes duties, working arrangements, engagement type, eligibility and conditions; read it all before applying. Roles may close or change, and MangroveJobs updates or removes listings once told. Report mistakes to careers@mangrovejobs.com, mentioning the role.

What do I need to do to apply?

Give accurate information about yourself, and only apply for someone else if they asked you to and agree. Meet the role's eligibility and right-to-work requirements. Complete the form, then send MangroveJobs HR the WhatsApp message, which only goes once you press Send. If you cannot use WhatsApp, email careers@mangrovejobs.com. The employer may ask more questions or hold an interview before any offer.

Do I have to pay MangroveJobs anything?

MangroveJobs does not charge applicants at any point: there is no application, placement, admin or training charge and no deposit. MangroveJobs is paid by the businesses that advertise. Nobody from MangroveJobs will ask you to purchase crypto, add credit to an account, pay to access work or send money to receive wages. Please report any such request involving a MangroveJobs role to careers@mangrovejobs.com.

What about pay?

Pay is set by the employer and applies only to that role and its conditions. A range does not mean you will receive the highest figure. Before accepting, ask the employer to confirm in writing its legal name, your duties and engagement type, the rate or how pay is calculated, expected hours or workload, and when you will be paid. MangroveJobs does not guarantee work, a minimum workload or income.

Who is responsible for what is said?

MangroveJobs is responsible for its own statements and advertising. Employers are responsible for what they tell MangroveJobs and for their duties as employers. If MangroveJobs's ads and mangrovejobs.com disagree on something important, MangroveJobs will check and correct whichever is wrong. A general disclaimer does not cancel a specific statement or your legal rights.

How is my information handled?

The MangroveJobs Privacy Policy explains how applications are handled. Information kept by WhatsApp or employers is covered by their own policies.

What am I not allowed to do?

Do not pretend to be someone else, send fake applications, use other people's details without consent, upload harmful content or disrupt the operation of mangrovejobs.com.

Can I copy content from mangrovejobs.com?

Pages on mangrovejobs.com may be viewed and kept for personal job-seeking. Any other use requires permission. Images used by MangroveJobs are licensed stock photos, not pictures of actual applicants or employers.

What about WhatsApp and email?

Buttons on mangrovejobs.com open those apps. MangroveJobs does not control them.

Will mangrovejobs.com always be available?

MangroveJobs cannot guarantee it, or that a role stays open while you apply. MangroveJobs may change or take the website offline without notice.

Do these terms affect my consumer rights?

No. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights, guarantees or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

What is MangroveJobs liable for?

Apart from those non-excludable rights, MangroveJobs is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss connected with mangrovejobs.com. Liability for fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be limited, is not affected.

What if there is a mistake on mangrovejobs.com?

Typos and technical errors can happen, and MangroveJobs corrects them once aware.

What if I break these terms?

You are responsible for loss that reasonably results, for example from applying with someone else's details without consent, except where MangroveJobs caused it.

What about events outside anyone's control?

MangroveJobs is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as hosting or messaging outages.

Who can apply through mangrovejobs.com?

Roles advertised by MangroveJobs are for adults living in Australia who have the right to work here. Some employers set extra requirements, which appear in the listing or are explained by MangroveJobs HR before an introduction. MangroveJobs may decline to pass on an application that clearly does not meet a role's stated requirements, and will tell you why if you ask.

What is the training?

Some roles include an online training provided by the employer or arranged through MangroveJobs. Training is there to help you understand the work and is never charged to applicants. Completing it does not guarantee that an employer will offer you work, and the employer remains responsible for how its work is carried out.

Can other websites link to mangrovejobs.com?

Yes, you may link to the home page of mangrovejobs.com as long as the link does not suggest MangroveJobs endorses you or your site. MangroveJobs is not responsible for other websites that link to mangrovejobs.com, or for sites you reach from a link on mangrovejobs.com. If you find a link that misrepresents MangroveJobs or its roles, please let MangroveJobs know at careers@mangrovejobs.com so it can be followed up.

What does MangroveJobs expect from employers on mangrovejobs.com?

Employers who list roles through MangroveJobs must describe them honestly, follow Australian workplace laws, give written terms before work begins and must not request money from applicants. MangroveJobs may remove any listing or employer that breaks these expectations, and you can report concerns to careers@mangrovejobs.com at any time.

What if part of these terms is invalid?

Any invalid part is severed and the remainder continues. A delay by MangroveJobs in enforcing a term is not a waiver.

Is this the whole agreement?

These terms, together with the MangroveJobs Privacy Policy and Compliance Statement, are the entire agreement about your use of mangrovejobs.com.

How will MangroveJobs contact me?

MangroveJobs will send notices to the WhatsApp number or email you applied with. Send notices to MangroveJobs at careers@mangrovejobs.com.

Which law applies?

The law of Queensland, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.

How do I ask a question, and will these terms change?

Email careers@mangrovejobs.com and mention the role. Changes are posted here with a new date and do not affect rights from earlier dealings.
